Thank you so much for your generous donations. The TUSDM Zambia Global Service Learning (GSL) Team is over HALF WAY towards meeting our fundraising goal! We truly appreciate your support!
Our Faculty Advisor, Dr. John Morgan, is already in Zambia working with the Zambian Health Ministry to use Muchila as a model for Community Engagement around Oral Health! He is working diligently with the Dental Therapists and traveling to the various locations to prepare for our arrival to provide sufficient care. Meanwhile, our team in Boston has spent the past few weeks organizing and packing supplies as well as planning our oral health promotion project designs.
We will be departing for Zambia on July 13th -- 10 days away! Thank you again for your support of our efforts to promote oral health in Zambia! You can help us get closer to our goal by sharing the Crowdfunding page with your friends and loved ones.

Hello everyone!
Thanks to your generous donations, the TUSDM Zambia Global Service Learning (GSL) Team is already ONE-THIRD of the way toward meeting our fundraising goal! We truly appreciate your kindness and support.
Our team has spent the past few weeks gathering supplies, planning our oral health promotion project designs, and sending in our visa applications to the Zambian Embassy! Corresponding with faculty and students of the Dental Therapy School in Lusaka, Zambia has been of most importance lately to ensure that we'll have everything we'll need for the oral surgery, restorative, and prevention therapies we plan to provide for patients in need. From toothbrushes and toothpaste to surgical instruments and hundreds of gloves, organizing supplies has been quite the adventure! Please check out the picture below for a glimpse at some of the fruits of our labor! :-)

Your donation will help cover transportation costs of traveling from Lusaka Dental Therapy School, Namwala District Hospital, and the villages of Muchila and Mfuwe!
Your donation will help ensure that the Zambian Dental Therapists can come with us to the most rural villages of Muchila and Mfuwe. Their contribution in these places will help establish ON-GOING care for the people of Muchila and Mfuwe even after we leave.
Your donation will help cover the costs of Oral Health Education and Prevention -- especially for children with decay and disease. This will cover prophylaxis (cleaning), fluoride treatment, and sealants for 30 patients!
Your donation will help cover more than just basic prevention but also atraumatic restorative treatment (Fillings) and extraction needs of 40 patients.
Your donation will help cover basic preventative, restorative, and extraction (surgical and non surgical) needs of 50 patients. With this donation, we will be able to take important resources to provide effective pain relief from infection and disease.
