It's hard to believe that this year marks the 5th anniversary of Molly's passing.
Since her tragic death in September 2014, Drama and Dance Alumni from around the globe have come together to celebrate the legacy of alumna Molly Glynn, J90. If you saw Molly perform onstage you know how brightly she shone - and with the Molly Glynn Summer Theatre Awards, this light is carried forward into a new generation of young theatre artists.
These awards enable current Tufts students to pursue professional theatre opportunities during the summer. Students have collaborated with Northlight Theatre in Chicago, the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Barrington Stage Company, the Central Square Theatre, the American Repertory Theater, and the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Through generous donations from alums and current faculty, we have been able to help students take important next steps in their professional development.
Please help us continue this wonderful tradition that honors Molly's legacy, and help bridge the transition from an excellent academic program to successful careers for emerging Tufts artists. Our goal is $5,000 to be raised in 30 days, in time for this year's students to begin their internships in June.
From those of us who continue to work on this project, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This fund allows Molly's legacy to live on through another generation of Tufts students who will make a difference in the theatre arts.
