The Tisch Summer Fellows program provides unparalleled opportunities for students across Tufts to have meaningful internships at some of the most innovative and impactful social enterprises, nonprofits and government agencies. When Tufts provides funding for these positions, everyone wins. Having a social impact internship should not be a luxury that only the wealthy can afford. These fellowships allow all types of students to participate. Programs in New York, Boston, and D.C. feature specific internship positions, while the international program funds student projects abroad. In addition, there is a unique India program that allows students to spend their summer teaching at a rural school founded by a Tufts alumnus.
Your support provides transformational experiences
The program is supported almost entirely through donations—and the need continues to grow. Thanks to new program partnerships and the generosity of our alumni, parents and friends, the program has tripled to 126 fellowships in just two years, including 13 international placements. Over 700 applications were submitted in 2017, making it the most competitive year on record.
