Tufts Quidditch Trip to US Quidditch Cup 11

Who we are:

The Tufts University Tufflepuffs were founded in 2009 and gained international fame in 2010 for our second-place finish at World Cup IV. Since then, we've grown into a nationally ranked Tournament Team, which competes regularly against other Quidditch teams in Boston and beyond.

Our Accomplishments This Season:

We performed well throughout our regular season, claiming victories against talented teams such as Brandeis Quidditch, Emerson College Quidditch, and the UMass Lowell Riverhawks. At Regionals we went 3-2, playing some fantastic quidditch against great teams. On day one we lost two hard fought games against Macaulay Honors College Quidditch and the New York University Quidditch Club, and beat Emerson College Quidditch. On day two we launched an enthusiastic comeback, winning two consecutive games against Brandeis Quiddtch and the Hofstra University Flying Dutchman to qualify for the US Quidditch Cup 11.

Why we need your help!

Based on our performance during our fall season and at Northeast Regionals, Tufts Quidditch has been granted the opportunity to travel to Round Rock, Texas to participate in the US Quidditch Cup 11. This national championship bid is only extended to teams who have performed extremely well throughout the season. We are lucky to receive partial funding from Tufts for this trip, but it is not enough to cover the full cost of the endeavor. This is why we need your help to get to Texas!

Travel can be expensive, and the goal of this campaign is to make this trip as little of a financial burden on the 21 attending players as is possible. The funds we raise will help cover the costs of flights to and from Texas, as well as hotel rooms, rental cars, and gas while we are there. In order to make this trip as accessible to players as possible, we are looking to subsidize most to all of player costs. Any donation amount is an important step towards our goal.
